2017 Cadillac XT5 - $39,990 - The first-ever 2017 Crossover Touring 5 (XT5) is a comprehensively upgraded luxury crossover and the cornerstone of a new series of crossovers in the brand’s ongoing expansion. The first-ever XT5 begun production in the U.S. and China in spring 2016.

Cadillac crossovers will wear the “XT” designation, a key aspect of the brand’s product-driven global growth plan. The new luxury crossover joined Cadillac’s lineup along with the range-topping CT6 Sedan. The XT5 is the next chapter in elevating the Cadillac brand: it is bold, distinctive, sophisticated with superb driving dynamics. This new crossover perfectly reflects Cadillac’s positioning in the luxury automotive marketplace.

The Cadillac XT5 is completely new, residing on a unique chassis and structure. Cadillac’s new crossover embodies the company’s expertise for lightweight and agile driving dynamics. The new XT5 is 278 pounds (126 kg) lighter than the current SRX , and 100 pounds (45 kg) lighter than the Audi Q5 – despite the Cadillac being seven inches longer. The new XT5 is more than 650 pounds (295 kg) lighter than the Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, achieving this with no compromise to body rigidity and crash performance. Rear-seat legroom is increased 3.2 in. (8.1 cm) in the XT5, compared to the SRX. The rear seat reclines and slides fore and aft, as well.

In the U.S. market, the 2017 Cadillac XT5 will be powered by the new 3.6-liter V6 engine which debuted earlier this year on the brand’s ATS and CTS sport sedans and is featured on the CT6. This engine has been completely redesigned and features Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation technology, which allows the engine to seamlessly and automatically switch to a fuel-saving 4-cylinder mode under low or moderate loads.

With SAE-certified peak output of 310-horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque, the new V6 uses variable valve timing for strong response and smooth power delivery. Cadillac’s new Stop/Start technology automatically stop and start the engine when the vehicle is at rest in traffic stops, saving fuel and reducing emissions, while enhancing the quietness expected of a luxury vehicle.

2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport - $37,455 - Land Rover has revealed the new Discovery Sport, the world’s most versatile premium compact SUV, and the first member of the new Discovery family. Uniquely in its segment, Discovery Sport’s dynamic design combines 5+2 seating configurability with design and engineering integrity in a compact footprint.

Discovery Sport combines sleek, aerodynamic silhouette with legendary Land Rover capability and a flexible interior for a great-looking vehicle that does so much more. Cutting-edge controls distinguish an uncluttered dashboard that features an 8” Touchscreen and optional Head-Up Display with the latest technology for intuitive interaction. A 10.2” Touchscreen with Land Rover InControl® Touch ProTM is also available

A suite of Land Rover innovations debut, including the next generation integral multi-link rear axle, advanced pedestrian airbag technology, an all-new touchscreen infotainment system and state-of-the-art high-strength steel and lightweight aluminum bodyshell for outstanding performance, safety and efficiency.

The 4-cylinder engine is a lightweight all-aluminum 2.0-liter engine with the latest direct-injection technology. Advanced turbocharging and independent variable valve timing helps lower fuel consumption and emissions compared with traditional larger capacity engines delivering equivalent performance. The Discovery Sport in Europe is also available to order with Land Rover’s innovative Ingenium diesel engine. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine is designed to deliver impressive torque and power outputs, combined with excellent refinement, reduced CO2 emissions and lower fuel consumption.

The lightweight, compact 9-speed automatic transmission provides optimum fuel economy, as well as greater control in low-grip conditions or when towing through the specially designed, ultra-low first gear.

2017 Lexus NX - $34,965 - The Lexus NX, one of the boldest luxury-utility vehicle designs on the road, makes all-weather handling a bigger part of the picture by making all-wheel drive standard on the NX 300h hybrid for 2017.

That’s a boon to value, and so is the newly standard Scout® GPS Link, for the standard Display Audio system. With the app on the driver’s smartphone, navigation maps and turn-by-turn directions appear on the car’s central display screen. It’s one more way that Lexus helps keep its vehicles in tune with its customers. An advanced and highly versatile integrated Lexus Navigation System remains an option.

From its dramatic spindle grille and L-themed LED headlights to a body that appears carved from a single chunk of metal, there’s no mistaking the Lexus NX for anything else in its class. The crouching, muscular stance stems in part from providing good ramp-over angles for light trail driving, and also having the highest point of the vehicle set back toward the rear of the roof. A sharply raked tailgate and integrated spoiler are punctuated by Lexus’ signature L-shape light clusters featuring seamless LED illumination, and the tailgate detailing echoes the spindle grille design.

The NX 200t’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine produces 235 hp at 4800-5,600 rpm with 258 lb.-ft. of torque from 1,650-4,000 rpm. The D4-S injection system, which uses a combination of direct fuel injection and additional port fuel injectors, helps ensure ample power and crisp responsiveness at all engine speeds. Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence-Wide (VVT-iW) optimizes torque throughout the engine speed range and allows the engine to start in the Otto cycle and then run in the more fuel efficient Atkinson cycle at cruising speeds.

The sequential six-speed automatic transmission uses Torque-Demand control logic to calculate required engine torque to deliver quick response and exhilarating acceleration feel. The G-force Artificial Intelligence (G-AI) system enables more spirited driving by selecting the optimum gear and downshift pattern in response to g force.

Similar to other Lexus siblings, the driver can choose preferred driving responses using the Drive Mode Select dial on the center console. The system adjusts parameters for multiple systems, including throttle response and the power steering assist curve. The default setting is Normal. Sport mode sharpens responses, and ECO mode helps enhance more fuel-efficient driving.

2017 BMW X1 - $34,800 - The 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine from BMW’s new family of modular engines with maximum output of 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, makes the new BMW X1 the most powerful entry model in the segment. An efficiency-optimized version of the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system and newly developed chassis technology all help to enhance driving dynamics and ride comfort compared to the outgoing model. The all-new BMW X1 also showcases its exceptional versatility with increased cargo area and greater interior room with more headroom than before.

The interior offers harmonious balance between driver focus and elegance befitting the classic style of a BMW Sports Activity Vehicle. The iDrive operating system’s Control Display comes in the form of a high resolution 6.5-inch or, optionally, 8.8-inch freestanding display screen. The interior trim and accent strip extend through the door panel trim, with the effect that occupants in all seats are surrounded by premium surfaces with a uniform material and color structure. Standard interior features include: Power front seats with driver-side memory, standard power tailgate, Anthracite headliner, storage package and multifunction sport leather steering wheel.

The optional 360-watt Harman Kardon HiFi system, complete with 12 loudspeakers, provide an outstanding audio experience. Innovative connectivity featuring a standard 6.5 inch infotainment system with optional enhanced USB and Bluetooth plus Smartphone integration, Adaptive Cruise Control and Active Driving Assistant including forward collision warning with automatic braking capability.

2017 Infiniti QX50 - $34,450 - The 2017 Infiniti QX50 luxury crossover once provides a unique combination of a right-sized exterior with a luxurious interior environment and suite of advanced technology features.

The wheelbase is now 3.2 inches longer (113.4 inches versus previous 110.2 inches) and overall length has increased 4.5 inches (186.8 inches versus previous 182.3 inches). The result is an 8.3 cubic feet increase in interior volume (115.4 cubic feet total volume versus the previous 107.1 cubic feet). Most of the increase in interior space can be felt in the 2nd row – rear legroom grows by 4.3 inches and rear knee room is boosted by 3.9 inches. In addition, ground clearance has been raised 0.8 inches – giving drivers a higher vantage point for improved visibility.

The 2017 Infiniti QX50 combines a sculpted, elegant exterior design, exhilarating driving performance and an engaging interior environment. The vehicle comes equipped with a standard 325-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 – one of the most powerful engines in its segment – and a 7-speed automatic transmission.

As in previous years, the QX50's wide rear hatch and low load floor make the QX50 a versatile vehicle for both every day and weekend use. The exterior includes many signature Infiniti touches, including large L-shaped headlights with new LED Daytime Running Lights, available xenon auto-leveling headlights with Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS), integrated LED fog lights, distinctive LED taillights and "dynamic arch" profile.

Available technology includes the Infiniti Navigation System, Blind Spot Warning (BSW) system, Around View® Monitor with Front and Rear Sonar System, Lane Departure Prevention system (LDP), Intelligent Cruise Control (Full-Speed Range), Distance Control Assist (DCA) and Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA) with Forward Collision Warning.

The QX50 also features a standard courtesy light integrated in the driver's outside mirror, which welcomes the driver to the vehicle.

Offered in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel drive with a standard Ecotec 2.4L engine with 182hp and an available 3.6L V-6 engine with 301hp. It’s attractive, comfortable, and well-equipped, but its size has consequences for fuel economy and handling. Among the options are a 7.0-inch touchscreen, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and a blacked-out Nightfall Edition appearance package.

Denali-specific exterior cues include a chrome grille, body-color fascias and rocker moldings, satin-chrome accents, and unique headlamp and taillamp designs. Denali-specific wheels in 18-inch (2.4L) or 19-inch (3.6L) sizes. Unique interior details such as contrast stitching, embossed Denali logos on the front seatbacks, a soft-touch instrument panel, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with smoke mahogany wood accents and illuminated front sill plates.

2017 GMC Terrain Denali is certainly not short from any of it’s competitors. The vehicle comes with long list of Safety Features as follows: Six standard air bags, including head curtain side air bags and pelvic/thorax seat-mounted side air bags, StabiliTrak electronic stability control, traction control and rollover mitigation, Standard rear-vision camera, Standard active safety features include Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Rear Park Assist, Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning.

2018 Mercedes Benz GLA - $32,500 - An expressive design with a clear SUV character and technical performance remain the most significant reason to buy the GLA for most customers. Customers have a choice of an off-road comfort suspension (optional) which raises the body by 30 millimeters, resulting in improved off-road capability, a higher seat position and striking off-roader looks.

Modified bumpers, new wheel designs and the new attractive color "Canyon Beige" characterize the 2018 model at first glance. The GLA thus visually underlines its SUV genes to an even greater extent than before. The previously-optional bi-xenon headlamps have made way for efficient LED headlamps characterized by a color temperature similar to daylight.

The attractively styled interior of the GLA with high-quality materials and excellent workmanship is enhanced by new seat covers and trim parts as well as chromed control panels. The free-standing 8-inch media display is slim and is easily legible, as are the new gauges with red needles. The controls for switches on the electric seat adjustment in the doors have been given small yet effective highlights in silver chrome - and the stowage compartment in the center console is also surrounded by a chrome frame. In addition, the air conditioning vent rings are more strongly accentuated and thus underscore the harmonious SUV touch in the interior. The Interior Package, with standard sports seats, remains optionally available and is aimed at the particularly sporty customer.

Under the hood of 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLA you’ll find the same turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four as before. The engine put out 208hp and 258 lb-ft of torque coupled with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. You have the option of getting FWD or AWD. According to Mercedes-Benz “Zero-to-60-mph” time of GLA is 7.1 seconds.
