Mid-size trucks are getting more popular every year. Increased dimensions on large trucks drive customers to the mid-size segment, especially the ones living in urban areas and cities. Many mid-size truck buyers use their vehicles for everyday driving and hauling a piece of furniture or a large screen TV from Costco, etc. Relatively, the expectations of the Buyers from this segment are changing as well; such as gas economy, maneuverability, electronics and gizmos, appeal of the vehicle, off-roading, availability of accessories, upgrades, built quality, etc. Many brands altered their vehicles to these expectations. We can see the examples of that with the 2017 Toyota Tacoma, GMC Canyon, Chevrolet Colorado, and Honda Ridgeline. Interestingly, in in trying to compete with the aforementioned vehicles, Nissan's Frontier has not changed much since 2005. In 2017, Nissan introduced a small face lift and upgrades to this old platform to compete with the completely redesigned or newly introduced competitors. Nissan introduced a brand new platform, D23, in 2014 in other markets such as Europe, Australia, etc.
However, in the US, Nissan insists on pushing the older, dated design.
2017 Nissan Frontier mid-size pickup, which is on sale now at Nissan dealers nationwide. The popular Frontier, which has experienced a 47 percent increase in sales this year, has a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $18,390 USD for the Frontier S King Cab 4x2 I4 5MT.

The 2017 Nissan Frontier is enduring and fun to drive with car-like steering. The PRO-4X suspension package that rides well on- and off-road, and is suitable enough for anyone looking for an economical alternative. Crew Cab is still very small for back seat passengers, but is just roomy enough to get you where you need to be.
